28 YEARS AND COUNTING...

It was 28 years ago that I took a leap of faith and arrived in Carmichael to start up a chiropractic family practice. Sitting here in my office I wonder how to comprehend the years of memories. When I think about the generations of families that I have been blessed to serve I feel a wonderful sense of gratitude.

When Jeanine and I decided to move north to Sacramento from Southern California, we were leaving our entire family after years of support through Chiropractic College. Jeanine and I both had to make the difficult and life changing decision in a matter of only 15 minutes time.

I can still remember the feelings as if it was only yesterday, driving alone (Jeanine, 2 kids, and 2 dogs would come a few weeks later) with my S10 blazer packed to the gills. It hit me as I drove up over the Tehachapi Mountains from Southern California, that my families’ entire life was going to be much different by moving north.

It all happened so fast. Only one week before we had visited the Sacramento area with the choice to  either stay in our home town or pick up all roots with 2 young children to open a practice from scratch in a town we weren't familiar with and no money to live on. WOW!!

Reflecting back, only somebody crazy or someone guided by faith would have contemplated leaving an established practice with a built in support system. Well, one thing for sure, Jeanine and I had lots of faith.  Along with our faith, we had to keep focused on our deep seated passion and clear vision of what we wanted for our family.  During that long solo drive up north I thought about the many obstacles we would have to overcome. I think when you cut off all possibilities of failure you move toward the highest and best good.

Over our door at the office it says “Expect a Miracle Today”, and each day I feel like I have witnessed miracles. I feel especially blessed to still care for the first 10 families in my early practice. The families have expanded over the years to include new generations and they are still wellness family patients after all these years. In fact, the very first patient I ever adjusted in Carmichael has been one of the most consistent through all these years. Shortly after I started adjusting Joanne she got pregnant. Joanne would go on to have two children, worked as a grocery store clerk, and have an incredibly active family. Throughout it all, she was a model patient living the wellness principles and always made sure her family was well adjusted. Her faith in our services and years of her continued dedication to keep her family healthy with a wellness mindset is quite an inspiration.

I am looking forward to the next level of vitalistic health care we will be providing over the next months and years. Jeanine and I feel blessed to have served thousands of families and feel as if we have made a difference in the health in our community.

Thank you so much for your love and support. Dr Bob
